BIO: Born and raised in Philadelphia, Raider graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he trained at the Circle in the Square Theatre School, the Experimental Theatre Wing, and with Anne Bogart’s SITI Company. He was also awarded scholarships to the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts and to the Jewish Federation's Directing Master Class in Tel Aviv.
His film, theatre, and television acting credits include starring roles in indie features, several short-lived series, network pilots and 50 plays on both coasts, including with his theatre company, Red Dog Squadron, which he co-founded with James Roday Rodriguez.
Raider's feature film directorial debut, Kensho at the Bedfellow (in which he stars with Kaley Ronayne, Sahr Ngaujah, and Kathryn Erbe), was awarded two best feature film awards at six festivals and was one of only a handful of films worldwide asked to participate in the first Conscious Film Convergence at the Illuminate Film Festival. Kensho also screened at the Rubin Museum of Art in NYC (which also served as one of 35 filming locations) as the inaugural film of their Brainwave: Perception Series. Kensho later garnered Raider a spot in Shoot Online’s New Director Showcase at the Director’s Guild of America.
His most recent project as writer / director is a five-minute satire about cults called B4Q in which he stars with Sarah Traisman. Awarded "Best of the Month" on Film Shortage, the film explores conspiracy thinking and the power of belief through the lens of the absurd.
Raider lives in LA where he's developing new work for film and TV through his production company Kensho FIlm, including the YA thriller Lost One Standing, a space odyssey based on the original comic book, Adam Infinitum, and the feature film Wolf / Sub in which he’s attached to direct and star.
